Event Details
TAGGED FISH: Before Bobberthon begins, 100 bream will be tagged (with colored tags) and released in each of four 100-acre public fishing area lakes. That series of lakes is Dodge County PFA (Eastman), Ocmulgee PFA (between Hawkinsville and Cochran), Hugh Gillis PFA (Dublin) and Flat Creek PFA (Perry).
REGISTRATION: Interested anglers do NOT need to pre-register to participate. This is different than past years of Bobberthon. Anglers will be asked to fill out a registration form when they turn in their tag. Anglers cannot mail in a tag for registration, they must visit the Center to return a tag and register. Anglers can register more than one tag.
TIME FRAME: Anglers can fish for tagged fish April 1 – October 1, 2012. Any tagged fish caught before April 1, 2012 or after midnight October 1, 2012 is not eligible.
PRIZES: Every angler catching a tagged fish (or multiple tagged fish) will win a prize and also is eligible to win one of four Grand prizes at the conclusion of Bobberthon (post-Oct. 1, 2012). All anglers catching a tagged fish must claim their prize in person at the Go Fish Education Center (where they also will receive one FREE admission to the Center on that day). All Prizes must be claimed no later than November 30, 2012.
